[18] But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
OPEN HEAVENS FOR TODAY MESSAGE
The devil is a thief, so when he visits a person or family, his agenda is to steal, kill, and destroy. Unlike the devil, Jesus has come so that you can enjoy abundant life (John 10:10).
Today, I want to share some more ways a person who has been delivered from the devil’s bondage can maintain his or her freedom and truly enjoy the abundant life that Jesus gives.
It is sad when someone who has been delivered by the mighty hand of God loses his or her liberty because of ignorance, carelessness, or foolishness. People perish when there is no knowledge (Hosea 4:6).
They lose what they have received when they don’t apply the divine principles that are required to sustain it. The Son sets free, and whoever the Son makes free is free indeed (John 8:36). God doesn’t give temporary deliverance; He gives total freedom, but a fellow who has been set free must learn how to walk on the road of freedom.
2 Corinthians 3:17 says that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Wherever the devil may be operating in, when the Spirit of the Lord comes on the scene, freedom comes.
To sustain your freedom, however, you must allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in all you do. Let Him be Lord of your thoughts, words, and actions. Where He is Lord, no demon can thrive.
Knowing the truth is another way to maintain your liberty. John 8:32 says that you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Do you know the truth about Jesus’ payment for your freedom? Are you walking in this truth? To keep walking in freedom, you must know the truth in God’s word and immerse yourself in it so that it fills your heart. His word is the truth, and when you know the truth, it will make you free.
This word must become your daily bread. Joshua 1:8 reveals that a major key to having good success in life is meditating on God’s word day and night. To keep the devil perpetually out of your life, let God’s word dwell in you richly in all wisdom (Colossians 3:1 6).
Job spoke about how highly he esteemed the word of God in Job 23:12. Beloved, how important is God’s word to you? How highly do you esteem God’s instruction and directions? If you want to sustain the liberty you have received from God, you must allow Jesus Christ to be your Lord and place topmost priority on God’s word.

Freedom in Christ is not just about being delivered once; it is about remaining free. God does not give partial or temporary freedom, He gives total liberty. However, maintaining that liberty requires responsibility.
The Bible says, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” That means freedom is sustained where the Holy Spirit is allowed to lead. If we ignore His guidance, neglect God’s Word, or become spiritually careless, we create openings for the enemy to return.
Freedom thrives in truth. When you know what Christ has done for you and you continually meditate on His Word, you become spiritually stable. Ignorance weakens freedom; truth strengthens it. The more you behold Christ and stay in His presence, the more you are transformed “from glory to glory.”
Freedom is not maintained by emotion — it is maintained by obedience, knowledge, and daily fellowship with God.

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TODAY MESSAGE
The first time God spoke in the Bible was in today’s Bible reading. To understand what it takes for God to speak to you, you must study that passage of the Scripture carefully.
Before He spoke, the Spirit of God moved over the face of the earth. This means that God speaks whenever the Holy Spirit is in operation.
If you want to hear from God, the Holy Spirit must be in operation around you. Once you know how to stir Him in you, you will constantly hear from Him.
I hear from God frequently when I am preaching because usually, before I step on any altar to minister, the congregation would have spent some time worshipping God.
Then, when I step on the altar, I would continue to worship and eulogise God. When I am done, and it is time to preach, the Spirit of God would have saturated the entire place, and He would begin to speak to me.
Ministers who do not hear from God will struggle because hearing from God makes ministering easy. God will tell you what and what not to do so that you won’t waste your time and resources.
For example, if I want to host a crusade in a particular location, I would ask Him, “Daddy. should I go?” If He says, “No,” then I know that going there would be a waste of time.
Some ministers go to minister in different places without hearing from God first. However, when they suffer all kinds of hardships and unnecessary persecutions, they will claim that they are suffering for Jesus.
Some will say that since the Bible instructs believers to preach the gospel to all nations, they will build a church in a particular location, even though they did not ask God about it and He did not specifically instruct them to.
At the end of the day, they might end up lacking the required funds to run the church and they will begin to look for people they can manipulate into giving them money.
Beloved, hearing from God and obeying His voice will always keep you at the centre of His plan and provision. Even when things get difficult, as long as you are operating in His will, He will carry you through.
Consistently create an atmosphere for Him to operate in your life, and He will always lead you into higher realms of His grace and glory.

God still speaks — but not everyone hears Him.
From Genesis 1:2–3, we learn a powerful truth: God spoke only after His Spirit moved. Where the Holy Spirit is absent, God’s voice becomes distant.
Many believers desire divine direction, yet their environment is too noisy, too busy, and too flesh-driven for the Spirit to move. God doesn’t speak into chaos; He speaks where there is order, worship, and stillness.
To hear God, we must cultivate an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit is active. This means:
A heart that worships
A mind that is still
A spirit that is attentive
Jesus heard the Father clearly when the Spirit descended upon Him (Matthew 3:16–17). The pattern is consistent: Spirit first. Voice next.
God is speaking — the question is, are you in the right posture to hear Him?

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TODAY MESSAGE
Today’s Bible reading is a sad story with many important lessons. lt is a sad story because many people died avoidable deaths by joining a rebel to gang up against Moses, the man of God.
The Bible reading begins by telling us that Korah and two brothers, Dathan and Abiram, came together to confront Moses. If you study the story carefully, you will see that the rebellion began with Korah because in many verses of the chapter, the words Korah and his company’ were used.
Just one man started a rebellion that killed about fifteen thousand people. Rebellion is deadly! The story might have played out differently if the other people mentioned in the chapter had refused to join Korah in the rebellion when he approached them.
They should have discouraged him from being rebellious and counselled him to honour Moses. God can speak to anyone, but He doesn’t choose everyone to lead His people or be at the forefront of His move. If Korah had understood the sacred office that Moses occupied, maybe he wouldn’t have incited a rebellion against him.
Today, there are also rebels in the body of Christ. They think that they know more than the spiritual leaders God placed over them and often believe that they should be at the forefront of what God is doing.
If God has not called you into a particular office in His church, don’t try to bring those who occupy such offices down. Also, don’t try to operate in an office that God has not called you into because you will only expose yourself to danger.
King Uzziah became leprous because he tried to function in an office God had not called him into (2 Chronicles 26:1 6-21). When people rebel against God’s ordained hierarchy, they become stranded in life.
We live in a generation where some young people think they have enough revelation from God’s word to speak against the spiritual elders in the church.
When some of them have a large social media following, they begin to think that they have attained a notable spiritual height and can say anything they like to anyone. Popularity and social media followership are, however, not the same as spiritual authority.
Beloved, if there are rebels around you, run far away from them so that you do not partake in their judgement. Also, if you have been speaking disrespectfully against those that God has given the authority to lead the church, repent now. Rebellion is dangerous, and it never profits anyone.

Rebellion always looks attractive at the beginning — it sounds bold, liberating, and “deep,” especially when it comes with the illusion of having more revelation or influence than spiritual authority. But rebellion carries a heavy price. Korah’s story shows us that one man’s rebellious spirit can destroy many innocent destinies.
The tragic part of this story is not just Korah’s rebellion — it’s that hundreds of people followed him. They ignored Moses’ warnings, stayed close to rebels, and ended up sharing in their judgment. Rebels don’t always appear with fists raised; sometimes they appear with questions that challenge God’s set order, disguised as intelligence or “new revelation.”
Today, rebellion shows up as:
Speaking against spiritual leaders because you think you know better
Allowing offense to turn into criticism of authority
Believing that influence equals spiritual maturity
Undermining leadership because you desire relevance
But God takes order seriously. He sets authority, not to limit us, but to protect and guide us. When we step out of that covering — or walk with those who rebel against it — we expose ourselves to danger.

Disconnect from rebels: If someone constantly criticizes spiritual authority, lovingly distance yourself. Don’t stay around conversations that dishonour God’s order.
Guard your spirit from offence: Offence is the seed of rebellion. When offended, choose correction and humility, not criticism.
Stay under God’s covering: Honour the leaders God has placed in your life — not because they are perfect, but because God placed them there.
Submit your gifts to God’s timing: If God called you to lead, He will exalt you in due time — not through rebellion, but through obedience.
Pray: “Lord, give me a humble spirit. Remove every seed of pride and rebellion from my heart.”

A person’s future can be influenced by his or her name. For example, Moses was so named in Exodus 2:10 because he was drawn out of water.
Throughout his lifetime, he continually had encounters with water. God used him to perform several miracles with water including changing water to blood (Exodus 7:20), parting the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21), turning bitter water to Sweet water (Exodus 15), and bringing water out of the rock (Exodus 17).
Names are important: this is why God had to change the names of some people in the Bible so that their destinies could be fulfilled. My mother told me that on her way to see a priest concerning my baptismal name, the name she had in mind was Elisha.
However, by the time she got to the priest, she had forgotten the name, so she told him that she would name me Enoch. When she shared this story with me, I told her that I would keep the two names –
Elisha, who had a double portion of the anointing, and Enoch, the man who walked with God.
The names people are called are important to their destinies, but there is a name that is greater than all names, and that name is JESUS. In Philippians 2:9-11, the Bible says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth: And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
In Psalm 118:10-13, David revealed the secret to his victory. He said that when the nations compassed him about, he destroyed them in the name of the Lord. He understood the power in the name of the Lord.
Beloved, is there anything troubling you as a child of God? Does it have a name, if it does, I congratulate you because you have just defeated it.
As long as it has a name, there is a name above it. Even if doctors can’t find a name for anything that might be troubling you medically and they say that all they can see from their diagnosis is nothing’, that is still a name, and when you trust in the name of the Lord, you will always be victorious. Call on the name of the Lord today, and He will give you victory over anything that is troubling you.

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TODAY MESSAGE
Every true child of God is a shining light. You are the light of the world, and Mathew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Light has one clear duty: shining.
This means that anything that stops light from shining is its enemy. As a child of God, anything that stops you from shining is your enemy, and you must deal with it.
Anything that allows darkness to gain the upper hand over light in a believer’s life is an enemy. In today’s memory verse, Jesus identified an object that can keep our light from shining and allow darkness to rule over light- a bushel.
A bushel is typically a wooden bucket that was used for measuring dry goods such as peas or grains in the past. If someone lights a lamp in a dark room and puts it under a bushel, it will be impossible to tell that there is light anywhere in that room.
One of the most dangerous bushels that has hidden the light of many believers is unforgiveness. The dangerous thing about unforgiveness is that it comes as just one bushel, but it multiplies itself into many other bushels that cover a believer’s light and keep it from shining. Unforgiveness always comes with bitterness, grudges, anger, and resentment.
When someone offends you and you decide not to forgive the person, before long, you will find yourself resenting the person and refusing to speak amicably with him or her.
Unforgiveness also hinders prayers from getting answered. “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” Mark 11:25-26
Beloved, don’t toy with unforgiveness; it hides a person’s light and plunges the unforgiving person into darkness. When Jesus told the parable of the unforgiving servant in today’s Bible reading, He revealed the end of those who do not forgive – they are handed over to tormentors.
Have you been hiding your light under the bushel of unforgiveness? It is time to kick it away and let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). I pray that God will be glorified through your words and actions, in Jesus’ name.

It is wonderful to know Jesus and trust in Him. Over the past few days, I have been discussing the benefits of having Jesus as your Lord.
Those who are still yet to totally surrender to His Lordship are depriving themselves of the tremendous blessings of being children of the Most High God.
People love good songs and love to sing new songs. When you make Jesus your Lord, He will not only give you a new song, He will become your song. He will not just fill your mouth with laughter, He will become your laughter and the source of your joy.
After God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt and led them through the Red Sea, they began to sing a new song to the Lord: “The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.” Exodus 15:2
When God becomes your song, He will fill your mouth with joy and laughter. When He became Sarah’s song, He filled her mouth with laughter, and people laughed along with her (Genesis 21:6). I pray that everyone who has mocked you will laugh with you, in Jesus’ name. When the devil thinks he has the upper hand or when he thinks he has done too much damage for things to ever become good in a Christian’s life again, such a Christian should know that God is about to become his or her song.
When the devil attacked Job and his family, he thought he had the final say. However, God came through for Job and gave him double of all he had lost (Job 42:12).
When God becomes your song, He will fill your mouth with Songs of victory. When He wanted to destroy the wall of Jericho, He put a loud shout of victory in the mouth of His people.
“So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.” Joshua 6:20

When God becomes your song, your life becomes a melody of joy, victory, and thanksgiving. The same mouth that once sighed in sorrow begins to sing praises. The same heart that once carried burdens begins to overflow with gratitude. That is what happens when the Lord steps into your situation — He turns mourning into dancing and gives beauty for ashes (Isaiah 61:3).
The Israelites sang because they saw what God had done — but we, as believers, can sing because of who God is. Even when the breakthrough hasn’t yet come, you can still sing because your Redeemer lives. The Lord Himself becomes the song that keeps your spirit alive through every battle and the melody that accompanies every victory.
When Sarah’s reproach was lifted, her laughter became a testimony. When Job’s trials ended, his restoration became a song. When Jericho’s walls fell, Israel’s shout became their anthem of triumph. Likewise, when Jesus becomes your song, every dry season will end in praise.
